ONLINE CORRECTION FOR ADDITION OF NEW CHALLAN
In the latest version of the FVU – version 4. 8 there have been few changes made. One of the change was that the C9 correction, i.e., the addition of new challan through offline was discontinued. Now this will mean that the deductors will not be able to add a new challan in the correction statements from now on.
The primary reason for the discontinuation of C9 type of correction is to ensure that all the challans are paid in proper. This includes the interest due to the delay in deduction or delay in challan payment or any late filing fee if applicable. Also, it is to be reported during the regular e-Return itself.
The above-mentioned process can be now only be done through the Online Correction in TRACES Login.
