Claim settlement period for PF withdrawal is now just 10 days

Claim settlement period for PF withdrawal has now been reduced to 10 days process from existing 20 days. This is due to the launch of online facilities for withdrawal.

The department has also planned to settle the claims online within 3 hours of request provided that the EPF account is seeded with Aadhar and bank account details. 

The timeline in case of claim settlements is 10 days and 15 days in case of grievance redressal management.

These are new provisions in the EPFO’s Citizens’ Charter 2017 launched by labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya. It said the Charter is an attempt to bring transparency and accountability on the part of EPFO and make service delivery system and grievance redressal mechanism more efficient and cater to all the employers, the employees, litigants and CBT.

It is a step towards paperless court system wherein court procedure of EPF which will take place in a digital environment.

Further, in order to facilitate easy access, automated messages will be sent to the petitioner on their registered mobile numbers about the status of their cases. These cases can also be tracked online. 

Now the parties can file all their paper/evidence/ documents online and all the details alongwith status can be accessed online. Regular updation is an important part of e-court management system. 

All these initiatives are being taken in tune with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of digital India.

    Respected Sir,

    My name is Sanjeevaraju P having PF account at Bommasandra office and my UAN is 1003 7938 5780. My employer close the office and surrendered all documents to PF office at May 2015.
    I got new job from another organisation in Aug 2015 but i cant transferred the old UAN. my present employer created new UAN.
    my issue
    is it possible to merge from old UAN to New UAN or can i withdraw the amount form old PF amount.
    But they are not ready to give the pf money am struggling get back my PF money.

    As you said is it work can i visit the pf office again and any other way to get back my money.

      For your question, “is it possible to merge from old UAN to New UAN or can i withdraw the amount form old PF amount”, both options are possible. But you will have to visit your PF office to address this issue.


    Is the online portal is excepting aadhar card & pan number?
    If not, can any body confirm me how to settle down the pending claims?

    I have got an acknowledgement from EPFOHO dated 29th Nov 2017, that all documents related to PF withdrawal has been duly received by them.
    How much time does it take to disburse the money to my account?????. As per my knowledge,it takes only 10 days as per the new rules.

    My AADHAR number is wrong in PF account details. Kindly let me know the procedure to change the same as in the system it is not getting changed. The option of changing of AAdhar card is not accepting


    I have submitted my EPF application at dwarka new delhi on 15-Dec. and now is 1st Jan 2018 but there is no response received from EPF office either my application is accepted or not as I have submitted all documents after verification on counter window. pls suggest me when i get my pf

    How long time will take to credit final pf settlement if i submit through online.

    I have raised a withdrawal request on 5th Jan 2018 and the same was settled on 10th Jan through NEFT, but i have not received the fund yet in my account. My account and aadhar both are seeded in UAN.
